Q: What if I have something to share with my clinician in between sessions?

We welcome you to write down in a journal or type it/print it for your clinician to process it together with you in your next session.

Q: Am I allowed to add my clinician on social media?

Q: Does your agency offer medication management?

No, we do not. We would be happy to give you referral options in the community if this is one of your needs.

Q: How important is it that I feel like I have a good rapport (relationship) with my therapist?

This is a critical aspect of the work you will be able to do with your clinician. We typically suggest giving the process at least 3-5 sessions to see how the rapport develops, but if it’s not a good fit, then there is generally only so far that you will be able to get in the process. Whether it is with one of our clinicians, or another one in the community, we strongly encourage you to not write off therapy altogether if you’ve had a bad experience in the past. It very well might have been that it wasn’t the right time, the right fit, or that you were not quite ready for the experience. Trying again is hard, and yet, it might also be a much better experience than you had anticipated or have had previously.
