• Yoga can involve twisting, folding, bending, stretching, and slight contortions of the body. For this reason, it is recommended to consume any meals about 3-4 hours before a yoga class so your stomach is empty for maximum posture comfort and blood flow.
  • Please bring a water bottle. It is recommended that students be well hydrated before and through class. However, we advise not to drink large amounts of liquid during class as this can cause discomfort. Additionally, we have complementary coffee, hot cocoa, and teas available.
  • Generally speaking, yoga uses the whole body and is body activating (warms up), therefore come adorned in clothing that respects movement and comfort. Most people go barefoot because the postures require either your hands or feet to be able to have grip for stability within a pose.
  • d. We invite everyone to bring their own mats, blocks, strap, and/or personal towels as they feel. We do provide mats, blocks, straps, as well as bolsters and blankets during all classes.
  • Be open in utilizing the class time for your wellness. Be with the practice and allow your experience to unfold over time, step by progressive step. Moment by moment. We all arrive and progress at our own pace. Just like Brene’ Brown says- “We’re not here to be right. We’re here to get it right.”
